Kbps is an acronym that means Kilobits per second. It is a unit for the measurement of data transfer speeds and should not be confused with KBps or KB/sec which is used to describe Kilobytes per second
1 Kilobit (Kb) = 1024 bits (2 to the power of 10) “binary kilobit”
1 kilobit (kb) = 1000 bits (10 raised to the power 3) “decimal kilobit”
KBps on the other hand simply means Kilobytes per second.
Kilobyte (KB or K) = 1024 bytes (2 to the power of 10) “binary kilobyte”
kilobyte (kB) = 1000 bytes (10 raised to the power 3) “decimal kilobyte”
Bps means Bytes per second while bps means bits per second and there are 8 Kilobits in every one Kilobyte so if for instance you are downloading a software at 200KBps, then it also means that you are downloading at 1,600 Kilobits per second and vice versa, it’s as simple as that
Our Previous article talked about mbps, you can find out more from that article, like stated in the other article
It should be noted that 1 Mbps = 1024 Kbps (Mbps to Kbps)
Hence 1 Kbps = 0.0009765625 Mbps (Kbps to Mbps)
