At an event in Barcelona, we managed to spend some quality time with Intel Atom sporting Lenovo K900. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone packs an impressive spec sheet, headed by an 1.8GHz dual-core Clover Trail+ CPU and a 5.5″ 1080p IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 400ppi.
When holding the Lenovo K900, there’s absolutely no room for doubt regarding the handset’s premium aspirations. The smartphone is built from brushed metal and polycarbonate, with the former used in all areas which the user most commonly interacts with. At only 6.6mm thin, the device also feels incredibly light and easy to handle.
The build quality of the Lenovo K900 left us with mixed impressions. While the use of metal makes the device look and feel reassuringly solid, the bolts used on its back appeared like they were asymmetrically placed and not matching.
During our short encounter with the Lenovo K900, we managed to take a peek at the performance of the 1.8GHz. Here are the results from a quick set of synthetic benchmarks we managed to run. We must note here, that due to its metallic construction, the smartphone got quite warm when we put it through its paces.

As you can see in the results above, the Lenovo K900 can certainly hold its ground on the benchmark track against the current crop of top shelf Android smartphones. We will however reserve a more thorough judgment when we get to spend more time with the device. Overall, the smartphone felt extremely snappy when browsing through its menus and performing tasks with it.
