Nokia Monitor Test: Helpful Tool for Choosing the Best Monitors

If you need computers in your daily life either for work or entertainment, the quality of your monitor display is a very important factor. That means you must choose the best monitor for your needs, which does not only protect your eyes, but is also equipped with elegant designs and the best display. The choice becomes difficult to make because you can always find countless types of monitors from Dell and other makers with different features and prices. So how do you choose the best monitor? The Nokia Monitor Test program is a useful tool that can help you with your purchase.

Always choose the monitor based on your primary needs and uses for it. For instance, if you often deal with files and perform enormous amounts of editing work, then readability matters most for you; if you have to process an abundance of images on the computer, then you should pay primary attention to colors. The Nokia Monitor Test can help with your decision.

Though the Nokia Monitor Test is a small program, it has powerful features. With a double click you can enjoy the tool and check the display of monitors easily. There are 12 languages available, and after you choose the preferred language you will find yourself on the home screen. Altogether, there are 15 options available for monitor test: Geometry, Brightness and Contrast, High Voltage, WWW, Colors, To Control Panel/ Display, Convergence, Focus, Resolution, Moire, Readability, Jitter and Sound.

Before testing the monitor, make sure that you have turned the monitor on for at least 20 minutes, and the monitor has been demagnetized. Then check the important options for the monitor test.

Geometry

This is to test the degree of distortion for geometry. There are five total circles, four small ones and one large, all of which are placed within the square. You have to check whether all of the five circles are full circles and all the quadrilaterals are squares. The colors and sizes change if you left-click.

Brightness and Contrast

Before the test, it is best to have the brightness and contrast set to the maximum setting. Then the grayscales are clearly displayed on the monitor, and you can see the performance on grayscale.

Colors

In this test, five kinds of primary colors are used, and they are black, white, red, green and blue. Make sure the screen is of the same color and no patches with other colors are found. Sometimes, demagnetization is needed to avoid color patches.

Readability

For this test, there are five groups of words placed in either a black or white background. If the words are easy to read and distinguish, then the monitor has good performance in readability.

Above are some of the essential functions of the Nokia Monitor Test. If you want to uncover the monitor’s performance on resolution and jitter, you can choose the relevant options, and the results will be shown to you.
